In Henan province in central China, many villagers are infected with HIV from underground blood transfusions when they sold their blood for money in the early 90s. Though the government banned the commercial blood transfusion after the explosion of HIV/AIDS in the province, the damage has been done, leaving many counties with very high infection rate, some even reach 80% of the population
